Hot springs are for relaxation, not cleanliness. You are not to enter the waters until after you've cleaned yourself, especially because it is a shared environment. Most hot springs meant to be enjoyed by humans are tailored to be around forty degrees Celsius, which is not enough to kill bacteria or viruses.

Feral cats can carry a wide host of diseases and parasites, a few of which are zoonotic, such as Toxoplasmosis, Toxocariasis and Bartonella henselae. Desist your attempts to invite the felines into the water.
