What can the Research Team do?

- Research kaiju (limited to biological features similar to existing creatures; no Rift related conclusions can be drawn)
- Work on any kind of research, provided that they do not permanently solve huge issues (mods would like the setting to remain somewhat broken!)
- Potentially could create one-off/infrequently used solutions that may affect game plot. (See Kyoto Barrier project)

Crowd Funding for the Outsider Lab

Current Projects

Upgrading the Plugsuit
Timeframe: Dependent on mods

- A joint project with the researchers of Alexandria and LILITH to upgrade the plugsuits using kaiju materials.
- Linked to "For Science" side quest.

Ocean Clean-up Research
Timeframe: Expected to be permanently Ongoing

- Ratio has suggested that the research team create an artificial bay near Tokyo to study attempts to clean up the ocean on a smaller scale.
- Additionally, the artificial bay can be used to propagate remaining ocean life to try to repopulate it once the waters can be cleaned.

Future Projects

Creating a barrier for Kyoto
! Further discussion with mods required
Timeframe: At least 3 downtime months

- Ratio has suggested a large scale energy barrier be deployed over Kyoto to protect the city while it rebuilds
- Actual result will be a barrier that can only be deployed for 30 min-an hour at a time and requires extensive recharge time (to limit its use in the game plot)
